AMBA & BGA (Association of MBAs & Business Graduates Association)

Founded in the United Kingdom in 1967, AMBA is an independent business school accreditation body, specializing in quality accreditation for MBA, DBA and MBM programs worldwide. Its accreditation standards cover nine major aspects including program quality, faculty strength and curriculum design as well as student experience. Launched in 2019, BGA accreditation is an all-round upgrade based on AMBA accreditation, targeting the overall development of business schools. With the mission of promoting responsible management education, enhancing social influence and advocating the concept of lifelong learning, BGA leads the sustainable development of business schools. Its accreditation covers five major modules: institution, faculty, students, programs and influence.

The Glorious Sun School of Economics and Management obtained AMBA accreditation for the first time in 2016 and completed online re-accreditation in 2021. In July 2024, the School passed the third re-accreditation and was granted the maximum five-year validity period. The expert panel spoke highly of the School's featured fashion MBA programs, international faculty team and sound continuous improvement mechanism, proving that the quality of its MBA education ranks among the top 2% across the globe. In 2021, the School passed BGA accreditation at Gold Level in one assessment, becoming the first business school in Shanghai holding both AMBA and BGA accreditations. The accreditation mainly assessed responsible management, sustainable influence and alumni ecosystem. The School also obtained the maximum five-year validity in the 2024 re-accreditation.
