1.Overview about The Glorious Sun School of Business and Management

Donghua University is a key university directly subordinate to the Ministry of Education, one of the first universities in China with the right to confer doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees. The predecessor of Glorious Sun School of Business and Management of Donghua University was the Management Engineering Department established in 1953, which brought together the first generation of management experts in new China, including Prof. Zhou Shiqiu, a doctor of public administration from Harvard University, and Dr. Zhang Qichun and Tang Ying, who stayed in Suzhou. In 1994, it was renamed as Glorious Sun School of Business and Management with the participation of Hong Kong Sunrise Group.

The College spans two disciplines: economics and management, with three departments: business administration, management science and engineering, and applied economics. The School focuses on five research directions: Urban Creative Economy and Innovation Services, Internet Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Organizational Change, Big Data and Algorithm, and Financial Innovation Management, as well as other research institutions such as Fashion and Creative Economy Research Center, Sunrise Management Research Institute, Textile and Garment Economy and Management Research Center, and Economic Development and Cooperation Research Institute.

The School has three levels of education: undergraduate, master's and doctoral, two first-level doctoral programs in management science and engineering and business administration, and nine master's programs and 10 undergraduate majors. In addition, there are six professional degree programs including MBA (including EMBA), MPAcc, MF, MEM, MIB and logistics management, etc. In 2017, the School was accredited by AMBA.

The current dean of the School is Professor Yinfeng Xu, a well-known scholar in the field of management science and engineering, who has been selected as a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund (2005), a special professor of Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education (2006), a national outstanding doctoral dissertation supervisor (2006), a member of the Hundred Million Talents Project in the New Century (2008), a member of the National Steering Committee on Teaching of Professional Degrees in Applied Statistics (2011), an executive director of the Chinese Society of Operations Research (2012), and a member of the Seventh Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council (Management Science and Engineering, 2015).

There are more than 130 faculty members, including one special professor of Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education, two New Century Talents of the Ministry of Education, one Shuguang Scholar of Shanghai, one Humboldt Scholar of Germany, and eight Pujiang Talents of Shanghai. There are more than 4,000 students, including 2,500 undergraduates, 1,000 master's and doctoral students, and 1,000 MBA, engineering master's and international cooperation students.

In recent years, the college has been fruitful in scientific research, obtaining one key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, undertaking more than 100 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Foundation of China and Humanities and Social Science Foundation of Ministry of Education, and publishing 100 papers in POM, JMIS, EJOR, IEEE Transactions and other international famous SCI/SSCI retrieved journals. More than 100 papers have been published in POM, JMIS, EJOR, IEEE Transactions and other international SCI/SSCI searchable journals, and the English business teaching cases have been published online by one of the top three international case study institutions, Yiwei Business School Case Library. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education in 2017, the School received B grades (top 20-30%) in both Management Science and Engineering and Business Administration, and received the Silver Award of AMBA & BGA Corporate Social Responsibility Award in 2021.

（1）Recruitment requirements

• Have been selected for at least one national talent project, including the National Excellent Youth, National Outstanding Youth, Ministry of Education Changjiang Scholar, National Hundred Million Talents Project, National Thousand Talents Program, etc.

• Have profound theoretical foundation and practical application ability, and publish at least 5 high-quality (College B+ or above) journal papers (which can include 1 accepted) in the discipline they are applying for as the first or corresponding author, including at least 2 papers in College A or above journals.

• Have presided over at least 2 national vertical research projects. 

• Have accumulated at least 1 year of overseas academic visit experience.

• Be in good health.

• In principle, not more than 50 years of age.

（2）Related benefits

• For the professorship, the annual basic salary for the national young talents program is RMB 400,000-700,000, and the annual basic salary for the national outstanding talents program is RMB 700,000-1,000,000; for other national high-end talents program winners, the annual salary will be appropriately adjusted with reference to the standard of the national outstanding talents.

◆Young teachers

（1）Recruitment requirements

• Have a bachelor's degree, master's degree or doctoral degree from domestic or foreign universities.

• Have solid theoretical foundation and practical application ability, have the experience of presiding over or participating in teaching and research projects; publish at least one high-quality (College B+ or above) journal paper in the subject area applied for as the first or corresponding author, and have development potential in the subject area applied for. Priority will be given to those with potential to impact national talent project plans.

• Candidates with senior professional and technical positions must have achieved more outstanding performance in the relevant academic fields.

• Have good teaching ability.

• Physically fit.

• The age of candidates should not exceed 32 years old (relaxed to 35 years old for those with postdoctoral experience); the age of candidates for associate senior professional and technical positions should not exceed 40 years old; the age of candidates for senior professional and technical positions should not exceed 45 years old.
