PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education)

Launched in 2007 under the initiative of the United Nations, PRME is guided by seven core principles focusing on serving society and protecting the planet. It aims to elevate the status of sustainable development in business and management education. PRME strives to equip business schools and management schools to nurture future leaders with capabilities to balance economic, environmental and social development. It also focuses on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and empowers business students to understand and drive future transformation. With more than 800 signatory members worldwide, PRME has become the largest institutional partnership between the United Nations and higher education institutions specializing in management.
Donghua University officially joined the PRME initiative in June 2018. It shares research and practical achievements of responsible management education with global members, and contributes outstanding wisdom to the economic development and social progress of China and the world.
As one of the leading organizers, the Glorious Sun School of Economics and Management formally submitted the PRME report on behalf of Donghua University in 2025. The School has systematically embedded sustainability and ethics modules into talent training programs, participated in global research and forums on responsible management education, and actively practiced business education oriented by social responsibility.
