On November 15, the first council of the Alumni Association of the College held a working conference. The president of the first council, Gao Bibu, the executive president, Zhang Peng, the vice presidents of the council, Zhu Guoming, Wu Haidong and Bai Hong, the executive vice secretary general, Liang Chuanbiao, the vice secretary general, Yuan Qiyao, Cui Weiwei and Wang Lei, the executive director, Yang Tao, as well as the representatives of the council attended the meeting. Vice President Liu Changkui and Director Wang Wenjie of Professional Degree Education Center attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Ding Wei, the director of alumni affairs of the college.

In the conference, Gao Bibu, on behalf of the council, summarized and reviewed the main work content of the first council since its establishment, and introduced the alumni enterprise visits, alumni database and other special work.

On behalf of the college, Liu Changkui expressed his gratitude to the hard work of the first council and introduced the current development status of the college, teaching and research achievements as well as the 70th anniversary of the university. In this context, the college plans to launch the second council renewal program, invite the alumni to participate in the development of the university and the college, and cover the influence of the alumni association to a broader group of alumni.

On behalf of the Professional Degree Education Center, Wang Wenjie welcomed the alumni to actively use the resources around them to promote the professional degree education programs and broaden the channels for enrollment and employment.

The attendees had a lively discussion on the organizational structure, operation mechanism, influence enhancement and dual-teacher teaching mode of the Alumni Association Council, and actively suggested suggestions for the work of the Alumni Association.

The first council of the Alumni Association was established on October 25, 2014. Since its establishment, it has built a bridge of communication between the college and the alumni, organized activities such as class return, theme forum, student-staff association and project matching, and won the honorary title of Advanced Collective of Donghua University Alumni Work.
